Electrical Engineering N1-N6

Electrical Engineering N1-N6 is divided into two parts which are Electrical Engineering N1-N6 Heavy Current and Electrical Engineering N1-N6 Light Current.

The qualifications requires one to pass four subjects for every level, for example to obtain a qualification in Electrical Engineering N2 Heavy Current, you need to pass four subjects relevant to that qualification. The exams for these subjects are written every three-four months and the qualification for N1-N6 can be obtained in two years.

The following are the subjects offered under each qualification be it Heavy current or Light current:

Electrical Engineering N1-N6 Heavy Current

The table above shows that the compulsory subjects for Electrical Engineering Heavy Current N1-N3 are Mathematics, Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics as well as Electrical Trade Theory. In place of Electrical Trade Theory a student can also do Electro-Technology under N3. Alternatively, the student can choose to study Refrigeration Theory, if their career is related to that field in places of Industrial Electronics N1-N3.

There are many subjects one can study under Electrical engineering N4-N6 heavy current as shown in the table above. The compulsory subjects being Mathematics and Engineering Science. The other subjects must be chosen depending on the career path the student is doing.

This is also referred to as ELECTRONICAL ENGINEERING-INSTRUMENTATION & COMMUNICATION

Hence the subjects are best chosen as per career path.
